Mike Hostetter and Jessica Seares Win a Disputed Rear-End Accident Case

Partners Mike Hostetter and Jessica Seares won a defense verdict for a company that facilitates home deliveries. The Plaintiff alleged serious and permanent injuries as the result of a rear-end accident with a delivery van. He alleged that the Defendant controlled the time, method, and manner of the driver’s operation and that it was therefore liable for his injuries. The Plaintiff requested nearly $2.2M in damages. After a two-day trial, the jury returned a defense verdict after deliberating less than two hours.
