Education

LaShawnda M. Sampson

LaShawnda Sampson is an associate at Nall & Miller and practices in the areas of Transportation & Trucking Litigation and General Liability. LaShawnda is a passionate litigator with a background in criminal and civil law. She has extensive courtroom experience and has handled all stages of litigation including depositions, mediations, and jury and bench trials in magistrate, state, and superior courts in Georgia.

LaShawnda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, and her Juris Doctor at North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.  While in law school she interned at the DeKalb County Child Advocacy Center and the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office as well as the Orange County Public Defender’s Office in Hillsborough, NC.  After graduation she worked as a prosecutor for the Cobb County Solicitor General’s Office, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, and the Clayton County Solicitor General’s Office through which she handled numerous felony and misdemeanor cases including multiple jury and bench trials. Prior to joining Nall & Miller, LaShawnda worked at the Law Office of Nancy Phillips handling hundreds of insurance defense cases for the past several years where she secured numerous defense verdicts at trial.

LaShawnda is actively involved in mentoring new attorneys and volunteers with the Gate City Bar Association’s Black Law Students Retreat. She is also volunteers at foodbanks and shelters in her local community and has participated in annual career day at elementary and middle schools. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her niece and nephew, cosmetology, and is an avid Atlanta Hawks basketball fan.

LaShawnda is a member of the Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, and the National Hampton Alumni Association of Atlanta.
