Michael D. Hostetter

Mr. Hostetter has been a trial lawyer for over twenty years defending a wide variety of civil cases, ranging from product liability, motor carrier and transportation litigation, commercial litigation, medical malpractice, labor and employment, fire litigation, premises liability, civil rights, warranty rights, hospital privileges and insurance defense.  Mr. Hostetter has served as lead trial counsel in over thirty jury trials and tried over one hundred other disputed matters. He has argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Mr. Hostetter leads the firm’s motor carrier section representing large and small trucking companies and trucking insurers in serious injury and death cases throughout the Southeast.  He is also on the litigation team that serves as National Product Counsel for the world’s largest home appliance manufacturer defending product liability claims involving serious personal injury and property damage across the United States as well as in Canada.  In addition, Mr. Hostetter serves as counsel for several psychiatric facilities in Atlanta defending malpractice cases and providing legal services to support a wide variety of their health care law needs. Mr. Hostetter also works on the firm’s business practice area defending warranty rights’ cases against automobile and recreational vehicle manufacturers.
